1. About Insha Makes

Insha Makes is a home-based handcraft business located in Ontario, Canada, operating at inshamakes.ca. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.

2. Products

Baked Goods (Home Kitchen / Cottage Food)

Our baked goods are prepared in a home kitchen. Our kitchen handles products containing gluten, dairy, eggs, and nuts. While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment. If you have a severe food allergy, please contact us before ordering.

All baked items are made fresh to order. Minor variations in appearance, size, and decoration are inherent to handmade products and do not constitute defects.

Handcrafted Crochet & Macramé Items

All crochet and macramé products are handmade. Due to their handcrafted nature, minor variations in colour, size, and texture between the product image and delivered item are expected and not considered defects.

3. Ordering

• By placing an order, you confirm you are at least 18 years old (or have parental consent).
• All orders are subject to availability and acceptance by Insha Makes.
• We reserve the right to refuse an order at our discretion, with a full refund issued.
• Custom orders require a detailed brief submitted via our Custom Order form and are confirmed by email.

4. Pricing & Payment

• All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes.
• Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on your postal code.
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards.
• Payment must be completed in full before an order is confirmed.

5. Delivery

• We deliver within our delivery zone in Ontario. Eligibility and fees are shown at checkout.
• You must select a delivery date at least 2 business days in advance for standard items, and at least 5–7 days for custom orders.
• Delivery times are estimates and may vary. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control (weather, road closures, etc.).
• Perishable items (baked goods) must be received and stored appropriately upon delivery.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Please see our full Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary:

• Cancellations within 24 hours of ordering: full refund.
• Baked goods: no returns accepted after delivery (perishable). Damaged or incorrect items will be replaced or refunded.
• Crochet items: returns accepted within 7 days (unused, in original condition).
• Custom orders: non-refundable once production has begun.

7. Intellectual Property

All original crochet and macramé patterns, designs, photographs, and written content on this website are the intellectual property of Insha Makes and are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, sell, or distribute our designs or patterns without explicit written permission. Purchasing a finished item does not transfer any design or pattern rights.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Insha Makes is not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Allergic reactions resulting from undisclosed allergen sensitivities
• Delivery delays caused by third parties or weather events
• Loss of enjoyment or use of a product due to personal preference

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the order in question.

9. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.
• You agree not to misuse our website (scraping, fraud, spam, or other harmful activity).
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario. For minor disputes, we encourage direct contact first: hello@inshamakes.ca.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects any changes. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes your acceptance.
